I like the slender trough in this cup, and how shiny it is. I feel the picture is slightly misleading: the bloom of this tenmoku is black, at least for me. the whole cup glistens, however, and parts of it might flash. Good cup.

This one isn't as blue as pictured, more a silvery grey, but it's still gorgeous, very pink 'tears'. This tea cup is a bit small, so you can't out as much tea in it, but it's a beautiful, beautiful piece of art and I'd definitely recommend it!

Start to finish, this was an exceptional purchase.
First off, 2 min. After I hit the "pay" button, I worried that my cups (I ordered 2) would come in a single dual compartment box. As these were two separate gifts I panicked. Reached out to Customer service and within minutes received a very courteous reply from Yuki. She assured me that my cups would come in their own little boxes. Ok! Yay!
This was early evening, Tues. Sept. 21, 2021 btw.
Just after midnight US Central time, I had my FedEx shipping #. Just WOW!
By that 2nd night, my cups were at US Customs, Anchorage, Alaska.
Today, Sept. 24, 3 DAYS after ordering, they arrived AT MY DOOR in Louisiana.

it's just as beautiful as the photos: a metallic sheen ranging from silver to bronze to copper, with undertones of a rich, vibrant inky blue-black. i love holding this cup to the light to watch the colors shift, even more so when it's full of tea! but pictures cannot convey my favorite aspect of this cup: the texture. i can't stop running my fingers over the ripples and bubbles in the glaze, alternatively glossy and matte, which contrasts perfectly with the fine grain of the unglazed base. shipping was quick and it arrived well-packaged in a sturdy decorative padded box.

This pattern is beautiful, the shine peeks out from the dark top glaze with an iridescence. The color of my bowl is quite different than the photo in line but I still love it! I understand that each bowl will be unique with this technique.
