This is a beautiful cup/bowl. The size (150ml) is perfect for many of my morning tea sessions using a 130ml to 160ml kyusu for Japanese green teas. The glaze is absolutely lovely. Only one caveat. This is a heavy cup for the size. I have seven other Tenmokus cups ranging from 110ml to 180ml and "Arctic" is far and away the heaviest.

I gifted my nephew and his bride to be with a Tenmokus pot and pair of cups for a wedding gift, and was so impressed with it, I knew I would eventually be buying one for myself! I chose the comet teapot and Nebula teacup as the colors were a good match- I could not find a matched teapot and cup set in either of those patterns but these complement each other. The cup is very generously sized and thick walled enough not to be overly hot when holding the cup. The set is perfect for my evening tea break! I especially like the beautiful box each piece comes packaged in. It ensures the pieces stay safe with no chipping or cracks.
Wonderful cups, as usual! I purchased three cups some years ago, The ones I bought now are slightly different on the outside, as you can see in the photo. But they still look great together.
These little bowls are just lovely. I have four and they are all exquisite. I can't stop picking them up and looking at them. I now need visitors so I can use them all at once. Merry Christmas
The pictures sho it is dark but has some color. There is a tiny bit of super dark brown texture but for the most part it is black with a brown rim. It has a super reflective glaze on black. Any color comes from what I am wearing. My BF loves it. It is not my favorite.

These cups are beautiful and greatly enhance my morning routine. This is my second Tenmokus purchase, my previous shaving bowl gets regular use. By the way, the previously called shaving bowls are now found under matcha bowls....good for both uses.

I bought this as a gift for my mom. Honestly I was a bit leery about ordering it but everything was great. Shipping was super fast. I asked my mom to give me a review and this is what she said: "The package is absolutely gorgeous. The cup is also very pretty, especially the gold leaf. It is well balanced and very well made."
It appears very dark. Almost black, not vibrant blue like the picture on the site. Which is why I purchased it. I do see blue in my video, however it’s background light shining off my camera into the cup. In person it is very dark. I suggest you update your photo? The cup itself is very good quality. However, if you’re like me and purchased this cup for the blue color - consider another blue option.

One of my favourite Tenmokus. The white crane flying in a red background is wonderful. The golden leaf at the bottom inside is precious. Exquisite piece of art! I bought It some years ago, but one of my cats broke it, so i have bought It again.
