This is the most beautiful cup I have ever owned or seen in my life. It is truly a work of art and I'm honored to use it with my tea. The colors in a photo dont even come close to seeing it in person. I would like to address the size as some seemed unsure of how big it is. This cup is a Japanese tea cup, not European. It is a little larger than the standard sticky note, bowl shaped with no handle. It is well weighted and thick. It does not burn you as some stone cups I've used in the past tend to. This is honestly the perfect cup. I will 100% be purchasing more.

Absolutely stunning tea cup. The colors are unbelievable. Even more gorgeous in person. The pictures do not do them justice. Amazingly well crafted. The pottery is slightly thicker at the base which provides great stability. The box that each cups arrives with is perfect for display or storage. I use mine for drinking Mead and they highlight the drink. They are really works of art.

A beautiful cup. I thought Nebula would look great, but I was blown away by the reality. The colours are mesmerising, and the subtle change in iridescence when Darjeeling tea is added makes it a real pleasure to use. It's also a good size, pleasant to drink from, and retains the heat of the tea nicely.

I was excited when I saw these cups advertised online, as the glazes are really nice, and the shapes look suitable for use in Chado (Japanese tea ceremony). When checking the sizes however, they didn't seem large enough. I went ahead and ordered the largest size I could find, with the Nebula design, just to see the actual cup and decide. Unfortunately, it isn't large enough for Chado, as the bamboo whisk won't fit well inside. On the other hand, it's beautiful, and would be fine for brewed tea, or perhaps a desert or side dish. Tenmoku's customer service is excellent. I had an almost immediate response when I emailed before ordering, and was notified when the order was sent. The cup arrived quickly, and is very well packaged in a padded box. I do wish Tenmoku would make a larger cup, but oh well, it is beautiful, and helps to satisfy my general bowl fetish.

Nebula is an absolutely gorgeous glaze! There's more blue to it than I expected, which is not a downside at all. The cups have an excellent weight to them and the narrow lip is very pleasant to drink from. (They do seem to preserve the temperature of the tea as advertised, too!)
