I loved this cup so much, I bought a second and the others are very beautiful, but this is very unique. Has shifts of color in sunlight, but more the design of all flowing unusual lines, although smooth and even. It's the most unique in design and although a smaller size compared to all the others, it's perfect for those really special teas and tea powders! It was my instant favorite because of unique design!

One of my two first purchases, and I am extremely satisfied. It looks even better in person than the lisiting photos, and I love the inner smoothness of the glaze constrasting the more coarse texture on the outside.
Very high quality and you can really tell it’s one of a kind when you get it and look at the very fine details. I got this as a present for my fiancé’s birthday and he absolutely loved it thinking it was super cool. When he opened it, we immediately had some tea with it — him with his tenmokus and me with my own regular Japanese tea set that I already had. Even when holding it, you can tell the quality. I already had high quality Japanese tea cups and when we compared, the tenmokus cup retained heat a lot better than my regular did. When we poured hot tea in the tenmokus cup, we could barely feel the heat from where we held it, and we knew it was hot from trying to drink the tea. Overall, 100% would recommend as a unique gift either for yourself or for friends/family/loved ones who love tea or anything artsy or Japanese.

Gorgeous! Feels like molten lava flowing down a mountain... the bare body of the cup is perfectly smooth, with the globs of glaze resting on the surface and creating unique textures and streaks within the glaze that are not found in other cups. To be frank, this is not my favorite Tenmokus pieces, however the quality of craftsmanship is stunning just like every other cup I am lucky enough to own, and I would strongly recommend it if you like how it looks from the pictures. It's even better in person.

Very nice and heavy cup. Beautiful glaze that snakes in natural ways with pretty deep blue contrasting the grey. The cup retains heat very well but does need to be warmed up if you want your tea HOT. Softens liquid slightly, not as much as a tea pot but there is a tiny bit from what I've tasted. Definitely pleased with it and it excited me to see it every time!

I added this onto my order because it was offered at a good price after I selected all the cups I initially wanted, but I was pleasantly surprised when it showed up and I got to hold it in my hands.
