Frequently Asked Questions
Is this Raindrops Coffee Cup actually handcrafted?
Yes, this cup is handcrafted using traditional Jianzhan techniques. Each piece is individually shaped and fired by skilled artisans, so no two cups are exactly alike.
What makes the clear and pale blue glaze with teardrop crystal patterns so unique?
The glaze is made from iron-rich clay that naturally forms oil-spot and teardrop crystal patterns during high-temperature firing. This creates a one-of-a-kind surface with shimmering blue and clear crystalline effects that cannot be replicated.
Can I use this cup for drinks other than coffee?
Absolutely. It is perfect for espresso, cappuccino, latte, hot chocolate, and cold brew. Many people also enjoy using it for sake or tea because the glaze enhances the drinking experience.
Is the cup food-safe and durable for daily use?
Yes, it is high-fired at extreme temperatures, making it thermal shock resistant and very durable. The glaze is lead-free and food-safe, so it is completely safe for hot and cold beverages.
How should I care for this cup to keep it looking its best?
Hand wash with mild soap and warm water, then air dry completely before storing. Avoid using abrasive sponges or dishwashers to protect the delicate crystal patterns.
Does this cup make a good gift for a coffee lover?
Yes, it is an excellent gift for coffee enthusiasts, sake lovers, or home bar collectors. The unique handcrafted design and premium glaze make it a standout piece that any connoisseur will appreciate.

It is wonderful As usual …
I purchased this as an anniversary gift and all I can say is that photos can't capture how beautiful of a cup it is. Highly recommend
These cups are beautiful and greatly enhance my morning routine. This is my second Tenmokus purchase, my previous shaving bowl gets regular use. By the way, the previously called shaving bowls are now found under matcha bowls....good for both uses.
Beautiful looking and quality craftsmanship!
Fantastic coffee cup! Will be buying more.
I love my new cups. Each one of them is unique and beautiful. The glaze definitely draws everyone's attention. They're well-crafted and make drinking from them a delight. The packaging is great, making these a fantastic gift and is great for storage. Teapot is both beautiful and well-crafted. It feels great in the hand and the quality is evident. The lid string is a nice touch. It's a joy to brew tea in. The iron glaze looks great and I know it's unique. Recommended for all tea lovers.
Great quality lovely cup. Love it !
The Raindrops Jian Zhan Tenmoku coffee cup from Tenmokus is my absolute favorite! The stunning metal silver-ish bronze-ish cracked appearance gives it a unique and captivating look. Yuki's excellent customer service in handling my lost package issue made my experience with Tenmokus even more enjoyable. I can't recommend this cup enough!
Gave this cup to my wife as a gift. The packaging was beautiful, second only to the cup itself. Drinks stay warm, and the accompanying saucer is a lovely addition.
She loves it.
Looks just as good as I had hoped, excellent conversation piece.
Amazing depth and incredible luster to this cup - it's like looking through a black hole and seeing what's on the other side. The beauty captured in this cup is truly mind-boggling and hard to capture in words or in pictures, you just have to see it for yourself. These cups make excellent gifts!

Beautifully packages treasures. We are very happy with our coffee cups, they are pieces of art that we enjoy every morning. Thank you so much!!!
This is undoubtedly the best quality coffee cup I have for this price. Outstanding quality. Gaze into the cup — full or empty — and cast yourself to memories of nature. This cup encapsulates scenes of ice, rain, storms, snow, glaciers, especially reminds me of Icelandic scapes. Looking forward to new additions in your coffee range.
This picture does no justice. These cups are absolutely stunning. I love mine so very much
